Hardtail
Full Metal Jacket. When I saw the opening scene with Gunny Hartman in the squad bay, I knew then and there that R. Lee Ermey just wasn't acting as a drill instructor... he was one. I love Lord of the Rings too... to me, it's all one big movie so I don't distinguish between the 3. Kramer Ferrington III.
Uhmm.. yeah. Too many. Some of my favourites include "Nashville" (but pretty much anything by Altman will do), "Casablanca", "O Lucky Man", "300", "The Matrix", "The Last Adventure" (great soundtrack), "Underground", "La Strada", "Welcome To Blood City", anything by Sergio Leone, lots of foreign stuff, "anything by Jacques Tati and so on. Ditto on "Duck Soup", but "Coconuts" will do in a pinch. Band MySpace My snazzy t-shirt empire

Fumblyfingers
BLUE VELVET! Or almost anything by David Lynch. I really like Angelo Badalamenti's writing as well. Fits so well with the twisted stuff Lynch comes up with. Wild at Heart....great movie. Willem Dafoe was awesome as Bobby Peru.

Eric Iverson
An old favorite was "2001 - A Space Odyssey" - been a space cadet ever since. Other than that, far too many to pick just a few! I saw "Marty" last night for the first time, and it's a great movie in its own way. "What do you wanna do tonight, Marty?" "I dunno, what do you wanna do tonight?" etc. etc. I loved how he finally decided his OWN happiness meant something and went for the gusto! And "Birdman of Alcatraz" is a great old one.... Sauce
The Godfather is awesome! I want to be Don Vito when I grow up... except still female... I mean it's a classic, definitely one of the best American films ever made. An old favorite was "2001 - A Space Odyssey" - been a space cadet ever since. I had the privilege of getting to see the best 70mm print of this in existence a few months ago. Way, way awesome. Then you'll never hear surf music again... I love the guys he hangs out with. The ones in the background that are always going on about Mickey Spillane ("Two dames? That is my favorite movie of all time...saw it in the theater with my parents when I was in first grade. Spinal Tap, Office Space, Up In Smoke, Caddyshack, Mulholland Drive, The Lord of the Rings movies. I tend to like comedy, sci-fi, and action films. Shoes
There is no way on God's green earth I could narrow that down to a single page so I'll toss out something you won't likely have seen. Swimming to Cambodia No honestly.... watching a guy at a table with a pitcher of water talk for two hours might seem torturous but it was very humorous and educational. but not for everybody. Oh ya... every original movie version that was turned into an American Remake simply so it could have a happy ending. Like The Vanishing / Spoorloos (org) I still think guitars are like shoes, but louder.
Megiliel
I think I've heard of "Swimming to Cambodia" before. Have y'all seen "The Pursuit of Happyness"?
