Apple Gives A Nod For Indie Labels

Recommended Posts

http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1472248/20030603/dashboard_confessional.jhtml It might be slashdotted by time y'all get to it, but interesting. So Apple will include indie labels (in addition to) all the big, bloated ones with its Music For A Buck gig. Dammit, how am i supposed to hate Apple if they keep doing good things?

There's truth in them thar words. However, 30% is better than 0%. Apple announces they will open thier service up to Windows users as well fairly shortly. (Of course, they should have opened up to both platforms SIMULTANEOUSLY, but that's another argument). Well, they say the service will be available for Windoze users by the end of the year. They probably won't have a Linux version, though. Of course not. To use *nix is to suffer :D Normally the OSS Community would come up with a solution within a month or so. However, Apple (aside from freely and gleefully taking from the OSS community, meanwhile pressuring them to change thier long-standing culture ) doesn't appear to want to play nice.
