skeeter gumbo
i just purchased a bass from ebay and the strings are different colors at the end that attaches to the tuners (each string is a different color- red, green etc...). Can anybody tell me what brand of strings these are?
jeremy c
Hartke strings are color-coded....but I think the colors are at the bridge end. There's another brand that also is colored at the bridge end, but I'm not home now to check my drawer full of strings. I can't think of a brand that is coded at the tuning peg end. Welcome to the Lowdown! Free download of my cd!.

Bottomgottem
D'Addario's have color coded ball ends. My whole trick is to keep the tune well out in front. Rocky McDougall
Welcome Skeeter, I see this is your first post. Tell us about yourself and your bass playing. getz out
The ball ends are multi-colored? Likely D'Addario. DR strings come in different colors, but the ball ends are all the same color.
