dohhhhh6
Hello, I've been wondering for awhile how to get this particular sound. The one example off hand is Bob Marley's Catch A Fire. You can catch it throughout the album, but it's used all over "Concrete Jungle." It always sounds kind of like an envelope filter, but it's got this raspy "croak" sound. Page McConnell of Phish also used this a few times in jams. Any idea? Could it be maybe a wah pedal hooked up to some electric piano tones? Or is it something else? Thanks! matted stump
You mean like a wah pedal on a clavinet? I'm not familiar with the music you are referring to. matted stump
That's a clavinet but I don't hear any wah on it, just the straight sound. It's mixed pretty low and hard to hear. eric
Yep, just a basic straight Hohner Clavinet sound.
dohhhhh6
Who'd have thought it'd be something so easy? Thanks regardless! In Skynyrd We Trust
