eric
I had the pleasure of meeting forum member stevie b last night. My band was playing at a local tavern and he came out to see us after his band played. This was a total impromptu meeting and it was cool! Great guy and we found out we have a lot in common, having both grown up in the same area, same high school, etc. stevie b investigated my rig and seemed to like the ancient Invisible stand as well as the velcro treatment that keeps everything locked together. He told me about his Kurzweil PC2x, so I'm sorry Tom was not there to have deeper discussion on this fine instrument. I'll share another thread about my KC hangouts in Toronto with Sven Golly and Floyd Tatum. It really is great to meet people from this forum in person! Let's all try to do this as often as possible! Regards, Eric

stevie b
Likewise!! Realy Enjoyed hearing Eric play last night and hanging out in my stomping grounds. His band SoulerCoster put on a fine professional performance. I have played at the same venue many times, and would have to say that Souler Coaster got the people on their feet, Eric's Nord Lead ? Yammie S90 combo provided good sound for the funky dance tunes. I have to complement the good mix also. For a bar scene with lots of band members, Horns, vocal, etc. I twas a good night. It's a pleasure to meet a fellow forumite. This was a first. Hopefully not the last. I believe there are a few of you around. BluesKeys, Tom the Gas man, and other SE States players. Eric and I also discovered we went to the same High School and commomly knew some other local players. Small World! Enjoyed discussing similar issues such as amps, Keys, Stands, Mix, and playing. I'll have to check into the invisible stands thread. With the upper tilt option and the sturdiness that it exhibited, It seems like a good setup, We also discussed the fact that this is a great forum with lots of cool folks. Like to meet a few more some day! Enjoy, Steve B. http://www.suggestingrhythm.com

NoahZark
Eric: This and your Toronto hang with Sven Golly and Floyd Tatum sound like good times. Let me know if your band ever makes it up to the D.C. area (including Northern VA). I'd love to come see you guys if it's not a private function, and maybe we could even persuade some other D.C. area Forumites to make a night of it. ProfD? Ells? Others? Peace, Noah

Peace, Noah I'll keep you posted! Likewise, I would hope that any and all forum regulars let us know when you are playing or will be visiting a different spot so we can coordinate a hangout. Not like we need a weekly "here's my gig" schedule, but if you are doing something out of the ordinary or potentially hitting a new group of folks, please post it publicly here, so people can align with your event. We really need a Southeast KC hang, possibly in the NC or VA area. We have quite a number of folks in this area. I think I'll start another thread about the importance of face-to-face gatherings and jam sessions.

Joe Muscara
Katy Texas When? That's basically a suburb of Houston. We don't get out that way much, but could make the trip for the occasion. Joe it looks like Texas is around the first two weeks in May. I don't have definite days set yet. One word of caution, I work in limited time windows.Although I would love to meet all of you guys. I wouldn't want someone to drive out of their way. I would hope I could be lucky enough to be close enough to catch some of you guys playing one night . I tried to work in a lesson with B3er while in a town north of Grand Rapids and it was just to hectic to drive back to Lansing. I was bummed, I really wanted to get some tips and see his rigs. If every thing goes well on a job, sometimes I have time and if not ,well I'm out of luck. But I will make an effort.
