lluis garcia
I would suggest you to seek other latin music forums for performers and the style. It would truly help purchasing Johnny's next cd since this type of music has fallen into hard times. Many reasons as is with the local and international problem of music pirating, the selling of old catalogs of music from the past century to new labels and not reprinting the product in quality, the death of the pioneers and those descendants of the style, the wave of new breed of music productions independent from labels that have power in distribution, no interest of the new generation into buying this type of music (which helps the artist and the company who invested), and of all the number one problem - lack of media presentation- radio. Is it fading or in decline? There is always an evolution in every historical period in music. Take a look at the alternative of Timba which is a step up of what has been done and still hard core salsa listeners have little knowledge or find cd's of this style.
