jeremy c
These came from blog by Seth Montfort. I've never met him, but I'm friends with his brother Matthew who is also a superb musician. These are great words of wisdom. Six Equations: The more you discover the more you will be able to discover. The less you discover the less you will be able to discover. The more you learn the more you will be able to learn. The less you learn the less you will be able to learn. The more you perform the more you will be able to perform. The less you perform the less you will be able to perform. Free download of my cd!.

Tom Capasso
The last couplet has proven true for my band. For many years we didn't really gig much, and often played a party at the guitarist's house. The last two years or so we've been out playing more often. Along with the obvious stuff (like learning how to set up, limiting what you bring, the importance of arriving on time), we've been playing better together. Listening better, tweaking things, talking to the crowd (both from the stage and during breaks), and doing (a bit) better with our sound. The improvement has made us better, but we've also learned that we enjoy this stuff (I always knew, but some were more shy about playing in public).
