rendertrust
im looking for stand for an alesis micron and an alesis qs7.1 .. im having trouble finding a 2 tier stand possible of hold the width of the qs and micron. those 2 tier x stands would make the 2nd tier too wide, any suggestions ? also anyone have any experience with the keyboard cases on ebay ? like this one here
SpaceNorman
You might want to look at a two tiered "Z" stand such the Quikloc Z726 ( see this link: http://www.americanmusical.com/item--i-QUI-Z726L.html ). The bottom tier is wide enough for a full 88 key unit while the second tier support arms can be placed wherever you desire so you can make the upper tier as wide or as narrow as you like. It's a relatively stable and study stand - with the only caveat being that it will require some disassembly in order to travel (unless you've got space in your vehicle to take it fully assembled). Disassembly/reassembly isn't difficult and does not require any tools - it just adds a little time to setup/teardown. I recently replaced my old "X" stand with this unit and have been very happy with it. (I only remove the second tier supports and transport the base intact since I've got the luxury of space in the van). I find that it's much easier to "dress" cables on this stand than on the old "X" stand - and is far more "shin friendly" when it comes to moving around to the various pedals that I use. keysplease
also anyone have any experience with the keyboard cases on ebay ? like this one here Sellers like that with lots of positive feedback are good, I've used them. Just MAKE SURE you pay extra to have the foam installed throughout the interior of the case...works much better than trying to do it yourself.
