fantasticsound
I wish I still lived in the Chicago area... It's only 42 miles from my bro's house and even closer from our last residence in Chicago. Of course, you couldn't pay me enough to drive to Bridgeview. Why the heck did they build the Chicago Fire's field there?? I looked at Google's hybrid satellite/road map and the pic is too old. The only way you can identify the site is they had begun digging the outline. It's easiest to find me on Facebook. fantasticsound
Sheryl Crow????? HUH! I just ran into Sheryl Crow at a friend's gig here in Nashville last month. Of course, she lives outside Nashville so I guess that's not particularly surprising. It's easiest to find me on Facebook. I'm sure the next DVD will show too much of him and no Jeff Beck (or Duke Robillard) just like the last one.
b3_john
Sheryl Crow????? HUH! Clapton plays "White Room" with Sheryl Crow on her Live from Central Park CD, apparently they've been buds for some time. I'm seriously thinking of going, anyone from Chicagoland can tell me exactly where this is? 15 minutes south of downtown Chicago is a pretty rough neighborhood IIRC. Jim Quinn
I'm seriously thinking of going, anyone from Chicagoland can tell me exactly where this is? 15 minutes south of downtown Chicago is a pretty rough neighborhood IIRC. It's in Bridgeview (Mayor Daley's hood) on Harlem Ave near Midway Airport. Safe neighborhood. Toyota Center Directions You can get concert seating charts from the link. I've never been there or even knew they had concerts. Might have to check this one out.
b3_john
Thanks Jim, I wouldn't care except that I'd be bringing my young son to this one. John GP sacred cow of the year: Jimmy Vaughan

strangedogs
Ellwood - lemme crash with ya' in MoTown Dude... we'll play some "BORN IN CHICAGO" and I'll show you my newest slide stuff on Lil' Red Rooster (Howlins' version)... Don't even use a slide anymore - I developed my fingers into a slide technique and got it soundin' real too !!! I'd love to see the show but last time I was in Chicago (1968) I spent too long in that damn Cook County Jail 'Eh! That place was a "toilet"... I promised the lord if I ever got out of there I would never go back - actually did a few times in the 70's & 80's with my wife & kids travelin' home to Michigan's U.P. "well fellas... there's 1 other thing yer gonna need to make it in Rock & Roll besides all them guitars and amps and drums and things. They call it A SONG..."
