Calumet
I got one of these a couple weeks ago and I really like it. It plays extremely well and is quite portable. When I use it with the Scarbee Samples, it feels like I am playing one of my Rhodes pianos. Great response and bounce. Its a little heavy for Wurly sounds since the Wurlys had lighter action, but I can deal with it. Wouldn't want to play organ sounds on it. The lack of a dedicated octave switch button seems like an incredible oversite to me, however, especially for a 61 key board. You can program a preset to be an octave different than your current one and switch between them, but it takes at least a second or two for the board to actually switch, which is a drag. Anyway, its great to have an easily movable weighted action board, especially for gigs where set-up and tear down need to be done quickly. Tom Fiala
You actually liked the keyboard feel of this controller? It didn't appeal to me at all. Mind you, I was looking for a piano "feel", not a Rhodes "feel". Tom F. "It is what it is."
kanker.
Man, I'd love to check one of those out. I'm going to be at Murphy's there in Omaha in a couple of weeks. Buy you a beer if you bring it out... A ROMpler is just a polyphonic turntable.
