l.smith
so any word on wireless midi these days...did a search and didn't find anything on this forum too recent. any opinions on how the m-audio wireless system ("mid-air") stacks up against something like the midi-works wireless midi system? (http://www.midiworks.ca/products/product_details.asp?productid=80&categoryid=21&category=) i know that the latter is over twice as much ($), but according to the info on the website it transmits up to 500 ft (as opposed to 30 ft, as the m-audio system does)... essentially i wanna have someone else temporarily be able to control some of my gear from across the stage...(which at times, can be a big stage, so i'm thinking about going the midi-works route...) just wondering if anyone had any info based on experience... thanks! l. smith
GovernorSilver
There's also the Kenton system. I'm not sure how easy it is to contact Kenton directly, but it seems to be popular with wind synth players. A US distributor: http://www.patchmanmusic.com/kenton.html
Pat Azzarello
You may also want to check out the WIDI stuff from CME (IIRC), which used to be distributed here in the US by Yamaha (I don't recall who distributes them now). zeronyne
Jeez, you'd think they'd update their website to reflect the change in distributorship. "For instance" is not proof.
