Stubs
Just picked up a Dean Pace 4 string electric upright. Had a dead E string which I replaced. Plugging it in I get a ground hum on mid to high volume. This is only when I touch the strings. The amp is a new Behringer BLX450A, so I don't think that's the problem. The amp is quiet when I plug in my OLP MM3 5 string. Any thoughts? Thanks to all who viewed this post! The problem was, can you dig it?, metal mismatch with the strings! I had only replaced the "E" string to get rid of the dead one and while waiting/hopeing for a reply, I changed out the rest. No ground hum now. Thoughts on this??
