b3_john
Where have I been, under a rock? I was going to pick up their album, but they have like ten of them on iTunes! Which one to start with? Like most of you, I dig well produced live albums, if that helps. TIA John GP sacred cow of the year: Jimmy Vaughan
Greg B.
If you like live, check out "The Deepest End" CD/DVD set. They set up shop in New Orleans and had several different bassists and several other musicians playing with them. Very tasty stuff. My personal favorite is "Beautifully Broken", but the whole CD and DVD just plain rock. Among the guests are: Les Claypool, Jason Newstead, Victor Wooten, Rob Wasserman, Mike Gordon, Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Sonny Landreth, Roger Glover, Carl Jensen, Bela Fleck, and several others. I like their first record also, but you really can't go wrong with any of their records. Either one of these would be a good starting point for getting into the Mule. otherstar
I don't know much about their commercial releases. I have downloaded several awesome shows via BitTorrent. Turn me over, I'm done on this side...
