mdrs
Zan.... You want the individual saddle measurement? I.E. one saddle for one string? Don "There once was a note, Pure and Easy. Fumblyfingers
I get 7/16" W X 13/16" L. LOL I seem to be somewhere around 1/32nd " off to Don's readings, or as in shop talk....a hair off ( no I am not going where I could go with that ). Knowing that he is somewhat of an expert on vintage instruments and their specs, and that he either used a micrometer or looked it up....I'd go with his measurements. I merely used a vernier caliper on my 1964 Strat saddles.
mdrs
Well, I'd go with Fumble's measurements!!! By nature, and profession, I try to be precise. However, I had to break out my READING GLASSES to make these measurements. And, I made them with a straight ruler, in marginal lighting conditions, on my '64. Likely a caliper is more accurate. I NEED TO GET ONE!! LMAO!! Hey Lister! Don "There once was a note, Pure and Easy. mdrs
LOL...I was just looking around at strat trem saddles, and they sell them in both 7/16" width, AND 13/32" width!!! I guess we've got it covered!! BTW...my '56 hardtail Strat's saddles are 7/16" wide I double checked with my son, Jeff's YOUNG EYES....my readings appear to be correct, for both the '64 trem, and the '56 hardtail!!
