Zuben
I see the RHOF and the NARM are teaming up and listing the 200 most influential Rock Bands. This is interesting. About as interesting as this years inductees Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five R.E.M. The Ronettes Patti Smith Van Halen Before I blow chunks, I will admit that the RHOF gets it right once in awhile. I will leave this year inductees to you. I almost had a stroke when Bonnie Raitt was up for consideration let alone was inducted. Not because she didnt deserve it but the Nick of Time at the time wasnt that strong of a seller. (It was AFTER her induction) Bonnie deserved it! She influenced 100s and most female performers can thank her. (I have a cherished picture of Bonnie when we were kids sitting on my knee in a LA Radio Station after a promo) What blows my mind is Carole King isnt in the HOF. (She is #7 on their Definitive List) James Taylor is, and deserves to be, but partially due to Carole. Ill get off the soapbox and get some more opinions Peace http://www.spotcheckbilly.com http://www.littlefeat.net http://www.bonnieraitt.com

garyjones
I think magazines and other media start creating lists when they run out of anything else to do. No stories this week, ok make another list.
Eric VB
Ok, I'm game. I'll flame your "difinitive" thread title. So there. [/flame_off] Is there a link to the list, or should I google?

Eric VB
Rick, in the second post! hehe And just like that, the flamer becomes the flame target himself! Sorry, thought it was a list of bands, not albums. Makes sense now. Thanks for setting me straight!
Big Red 67
That is OK. I had heard that it was top 100 and mistakenly searched on songs instead of albums. I had to go back to the source page to figure out why I couldn't find it. Big Red's Ride Blog
