rod76
Hi. Is it possible to chain a 147 to a 125 Leslie?

matted stump
You should not ever chain old style leslies which draw their power through the leslie cable. They should all hook directly back to the organ console. You could get fried wires or connectors trying to draw too much current through a single cable. Modern leslies draw their power directly from the wall, so there should be no problem with multiple leslies being driven from one cable (not sure if they do it that way though). Jim Alfredson
A 147 and a 125 use a different pin configuration on the 6-pin cable. So they wouldn't work together without different wiring kits in the organ anyway (even if you purchased a Leslie relay like the Hammond Suzuki 6 pin power relay (http://hammondorganco.com/optional_acc3.htm) I have a B3 that can power two 122 style Leslies, a PR40, and a 147 style Leslie at the same time, but it has separate kits (and obviously separate 6-pin sockets) for the 122 and 147 Leslie outputs. matted stump
Yes indeed. My B-3 can power 2 122s and 1 147, and for added safety the 122 outputs are 5 pin so that you have to be really trying if you want to mess it up. rod76
Thanks for the warnings. So it would also be out of the question to use the 125's combo pedal(old unknown brand) with a 147?

Jim Alfredson
Well, I'll be! I thought the 125 was in the 122 family of amps! Guess I don't know what I'm talking about! So yes, I think it would work. Learn something new everyday! You still don't want to chain them, however. Use the relay linked above. Keep it greazy!
