picker
Well, my tax refund came back, and I went out to Musicians Friend and spent a little of it. I came home with a red Ashbory Bass($100), and an Eden Nemesis N8 amp ($80). The Ashbory is fun. I plan to take it to rehearsal this weekm and freak a few folks out with it. The N8 is gonna be for practice and little jams with unamplified acoustic guitars. Always remember that you are unique. Just like everyone else. picker
$100 is not the regular price for an Ashbory at MF. I found mine in a pile of other basses that have been returned for various reasons. this one had been sitting there for over a year, and they wanted to get rid of it, hence the low price. It doesn't seem to have a mark on it, and the strings are intact, although it's hard to get it tuned so it will stay that way. I guess the strings have to stretch or something. They even threw in a bag for it, although the original bag was long gone, apparently. This one is for a Martin backpacker guitar, and it's not really a precise fit, but it's much better than nothing. Always remember that you are unique. Just like everyone else.
saxofunk
One of my former college roomates worked at that MF distribution center for some time, he took home a number of goodies, I didn't realize they were open to the public. Cool! Nice find on the N8. - Matt W.
