kudyba Posted November 21, 2001 Share Posted November 21, 2001 yeah for some reason the site is getting hit hard today...load averages are pretty high--above 10, sometimes above 20. With our set up (an E250 with 2 CPU's) we should be able to perform OK around the 10 mark. Also now ALL of the magazine web sites are redirecting (albeit gracefully with a 10 second or more redirect time and links to old content, current contest, etc. which are not on this server) so we're probably getting a crunch from those folks as well. That means Guitar Player, Bass Player, Gig, Extreme Groove, MC2, and Keyboard...lots of new eyeBALLS... And our banner admins are doing something funky...we sure don't have IBM and Cisco as customers around here...they say they're on it...not sure if that would add to the latency though...
