Has anyone got this yet? It's supposed to be one of the biggest selling albums right now and the street price is around $24.00!

I haven't heard it yet but I am very interested in checking it out.

It's got four CD's in it!! I heard that Vince wanted to put out four CD's in the next year, but his record company balked at his request. So, he put all four out as his "one" CD. Good for him!!!

It's supposed to be great. Apparently each CD is a different style....??country, Bluegrass, love songs...??? Something like that.

It's been backordered at my small mom and pop local record store. I got the call last night that they have one for me. But, I haven't had a chance to pick it up yet.

So, could this be the set in which we find out the difference between "Country" and "Western" music?:D:D:D

LMAO!

I don't know, Griff. Country, Western, Bluegrass, Rock, Pop, Metal.....Great music transcends genre.

If you check out Vince Gill, the genre of music quickly becomes irrelavant. He is an absolute top notch talent. One of the best axe men out there today. If you can, check him out on the recent "Crossroads" Concert DVD from the "guitar hero's" concert Clapton put together a couple of years ago. In my humble opinion he puts on the best performance of any on that DVD. And, he's a great songwriter, and has a fantastic voice.

I was never much into any Country or Bluegrass. But I lived in Kentucky for almost nine years. And, I quickly learned that many of the best musicians around, are country or bluegrass players.

I know, Griff. I was not meaning to "pick on you". I've often wondered where that term, Country and Western came from. And, if you watched the recent Country Music Awards show, it seemed to me that much of "Country" music is southern rock, or maybe even better rock that most other "rock" music being made today!!

I just looked up Vince's CD, "These Days", on Amazon. Apparently, his concept was to do four albums; Rock, Romance, Vintage "Honky Tonk", and acoustic. I think that this guy could play just about anything.
