Members of Zoot, the band playing Eleanor Rigby, went on to have some success outside of Oz. Zoot's bassplayer Beeb Birtles with The Little River Band, and Rick Springfield.

Re: Skyhooks - very successful here, but you probably had to be be here at the time to fully understand why. The seventies was a time when Oz music started to come into it's own and to be recognised as just as good if not better than the imported stuff - there was a mood in the country of trying to shrug off the cultural cringe and find our own identity (Ironically the Little River Band, the first Oz band too make it really big in the US were strongly critizised here for sounding too American)

The late Skyhooks singer, known as Shirl, went on to have a successful kids show and then a home improvement TV show - he was a carpenter by trade. The lead guitar player Red Symons is still something of a celebrity for his TV and radio stuff, and is in demand for ads on telly.

A much better song by Skyhooks is this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SX4ITEcBPvw&mode=related&search=

Well AC/DC is a diffrent sort of band. I like them both. Somtimes AC/DC bugs me because they have some pretty lame songs. I hate For Those About to Rock but I like a lot of other stuff like Whole Lotta Rosie. I am also greatly amused at the video clip of Bon Scott in a dress doing Baby Please don't go with a very young Angus. He must be only 18 or so in that video :freak:
