Griffinator
I've used it quite extensively. Great prog, big time CPU hog.... A bunch of loud, obnoxious music I USED to make with friends.
Justus A. Picker
Make sure he has a VERY fast computer with a TON of RAM or it'll be pretty much useless. http://www.smokedsalmonband.com/exile/exile1.jpg

Thanks for the replies guys. He's got 1GB RAM. Is that sufficient? Paul
Xplorer
It works for me, but I had to upgrade my sound card to a Soundblaster X-Fi to really get the lag time down. What a horrible night to have a curse.
pauldil
Thanks Xplorer. I don't know what sound card he currently has. Thanks for the tip. Paul
strangedogs
I use the Mac Version on my G5 - Awesome program - and my G5 has never had any latency problems - my 2 buds are PC Dudes and they have issues on their laptops - My Apple never has any latency problems with any recording stuff SCHAWEEEEET! Griffinator
I run mine on an Athlon 2800+ with 768M RAM - but it hogs up 40% of my CPU for each instance - kind of a PITA working in Sonar and recording multiple guitar tracks... Sunbreak Music
Yes--that's why I always say run it on a laptop. It uses some CPU! Griffinator
Anyone in this pile use GR2 with FX Transport? I'm toying with the idea of dusting off my HP and installing XP Lite and using it for a host for this purpose, but no point in going through the trouble if it won't work...
