Cool!

I really enjoyed that one

I was browsing around and caught this little bit of film of acdc running around London and was actually shocked at how small Angus is. I mean, I knew he was small, but this just caught me off guard!

The Young boys may be slight in stature, but their music stands tall!!

El...I agree that the couple of times I saw the original Who, they were loud!! I saw Velvet Revolver last year, and they were way too loud! I had to double ear plug!! I also saw John Fogerty warm up for John Mellencamp. Fogerty was GREAT, but Mellencamp was so damn loud, that I actually LEFT!! He's a fine artist, but the music was just too loud, and I'm not sure to what purpose. It didn't help the impact of the show....it really was a turn off, if anything!!

Generally when it's ridiculously too loud you'll see a 20-something at the mix desk.

<< It is hard for me to hear what is going on when it is that loud.>>

The ear tries to protect itself with a built-in limiter which tightens a muscle to prevent overly wide excursions of the ear drum. When that happens your hearing acuity goes way down. I've heard gigs where I literally couldn't perceive any of the chord changes or any melodic material because it was so stupidly loud. What a dumb way to present yourself.

Nahh, 2 twin stacks per side ain't that big a deal. I did some video work for a band called Y & T many years ago, they had triple high stacks with about maybe 8 stacks wide per side. Turns out most of them were empty prop cabinets. Looked big. Didn't make them play any better though.

"In "Whole Lotta Rosie" it's not an L6-S, it's a double cutaway with really short horns, kinda like a Melody Maker"

That's his signature Gretsch with the paint and neck and middle pickups removed:

In this video, it looked like this before the change: http://youtube.com/watch?v=qCQrlsro1mg

Never argue with an idiot. They'll bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.
