"Squonk" by Genesis

"Baracuda" or "Crazy On You" by Heart

"Stealin'" or "Easy Livin'" by Uruah Heap

"Hush" or "My Woman From Tokyo" by Deep Purple

"The Real Me" by The Who (or one of the CSI theme songs, too, I guess)

"Fight The Good Fight" or "Hold On" by Triumph

"Badge" by Cream

"While My Guitar Gently Weeps" or "Something" by the Beatles

The obvious Thin Lizzy choice would be "The Boys Are Back In Town"; but I prefer some of the stuff frmo Black Rose, like "Waiting For an Alibi" or "With Love"... guess they weren't quite classics, though.

"Am I enough of a freak to be worth paying to see?"- Separated Out (Marillion)

I was trying to stay off the 80's but if you include the early 80's well... Some stuff Rush's Permanent Waves and Moving Pictures... Tom Sawyer, Limelight, Freewill, Yyz. Roxanne, Message in A Bottle, Every Breath You take, Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic, by The Police.... and I'd better stop right there.

Hey You, Comfortably Numb, Another Brick In The Wall Part2, The Trial, Mother... This is from 1979, so ALMOST there.

Yeah, I hear ya on the Stones.

The Stones have put out some tunes I can't get into, BUT BUT BUT wait a minnit! IMO there was a period in the late 60's when that incredible burst of creative excellence was in the air and it greatly affected the Stones and so many others.

If you hate the Rolling Stones, but have never heard the song "Gimme Shelter' (the original late 60's studio version only), then please listen and I hope you may understand their popularity.

Last time I looked for their good tunes from that era online at places such as MMOD they were nowhere to be found. Only their worst crap. Made me wonder if that's why some people otherwise unfamiliar with them are getting the wrong impression.

End of Stones diatribe for now. :D

Just a pinch between the geek and chum
