LMAO!!!

Well, Pere....that was your first guitar?? That's cool. The Starcaster was only made from 1974 thru 1980. In good condition, they are currently worth about $3000!!!

So, I'd keep it out of the hockey rink for now....

I had a chance to get one in not bad condition about a decade ago for $500 - I passed because of its maple fingerboard. I'm still kicking myself for that one.....

what was cool a number of weeks ago was the guitar player for The Killers played a Starcaster on a live version of When You Were Young on the MTV Music Awards!

THE PROS & THE CONS: It´s not made with the accuracy of a 335, really less sustain (i.e. the two PUPs are same size that´s why poles don´t fit exactly under strings).PROS: Moooore definition and power than a Gibson, Neck PUP is very bright and bassy(perfect for Jazz but to make rythm too bassy).Everybody who owns it say bridge PUP is too Bright (really, too much but perfect for funk or country and you have a pot).THE SECRET is for that differences when working together give you an "on-the-air" sound difficult to find in other guitars, in that middle position you have the strat tones (without his usual twang).

MDRS:

He means the Starcaster is his "wife". I guess we know what the "F-holes" are for [drumfill-cymbal crash]. Dirty joke, huh? "Touching my wife is forbidden [to you]". So, basically he's saying no one can touch it or else...

In Spanish you can say "prohibido fumar" while in English "forbidden to smoke" is not idiomatic, but more like "smoking is prohibited" or "forbidden".

Pere--Molt bona guitarra! La vas comprar nova? Des de quan la tens? ;) Jajaja.

MILLO my bro¨: I bought the Starcaster new in a shop in 1979, Then I had acoustical guitars but no money for an amp, use to connect Fender in a radio, Tv (sometimes frying my fingers!), one year later a friend made me a 200w amp and a DJ presented to me a "big-big" speaker from a Disco (horrible sound).

Spanish isn´t my mother language, when Millo jokes with a translator to me, he makes it "in Catalan"...Spain is similar to Texas area´s size but many different cultures in each regions (here there´re not Flamenco and no bulls). THAT¨S THE OLD CONTINENT!!!.
