Here's the Strat I built....solid figured Hawaiian Koa body, the biggest fatest birdseye maple custom neck with LP neck radius and big frets, and a "V" shape, Kluson tuners, WCR (crcoils) hand wound SR Set pickups, with a stacked humbucking Duncan in the bridge position.

There is no way to get around it. There are certain sounds and tones you simply can not get on other guitars. The same can be said of a Les Paul.

I find other guitars, like PRS's, awesome, but kind of "tone neutral".....but you can usually tell from the sound and tone when a player has a Strat or a LP

I promise I won't tell her! My first good electric was a white American Strat, which is a twin to yours. I bought it in 1989 or 90....I bought it at the Sam Ash store in NYC, and as I'm playing the Strat, in walks PETE TOWNSHEND!! So, I actually played it in the same room as Pete!!

It's still my fav "newer" Strat...and I'm such a Pete fan that I'm not sure I could ever sell it....

I am obviously a charter member of the Guitaraholics Anonymous club!!!
