I'm not familiar with that pickup so I'm hesitant to offer advice.


However, there are many folks here who may have used that particular setup before and will be able to offer you the information you are looking for.

I have an SH1900 on my classical. It sounds absolutely horrible by itself on a "normal" amp (SS and Tube alike). Flat, squawky, biting, metallic...

It "works" but you should definitely use a preamp or acoustic amp with it.

I myself haven't gotten aroudn to that yet, as I didn't rally have the need to amplify my classical guitar anymore, but if I do, I'm looking at an UltraSound Preamp/DI box. They are fairly cheap and *should* make the sound significantly better.
