A String
Are there any sound clips of that thing? I've always been curious about their sound. Craig Stringnetwork on Facebook String Network Forum My Music
Bejeeber
Nylon string? It looks like it has steel string type bridges on it. Hey! Are you trying to pull the wool over our eyes??!!! Just a pinch between the geek and chum
Scott Fraser
<> Yeah. I've never seen bridge pins used on nylon strings. Also, it's a steel string tuning head. Scott Fraser Scott Fraser
huafist
These guitars were designed and are built by Jimmy Doolin of Doolin Guitars. The actual Harp guitar is a steel string instrument; the one built for Muriel Anderson is a 13 string requinto, and it is classical. Here's a link, and there are sound clips at the bottom of her playing it. *EDIT* Just looked at the original URL. She's not playing her custom one there. *EDIT 2* His name is Mike Doolin, not Jimmy. My bad. Don't know where I got Jimmy from. Doolin Guitars

Sunbreak Music
Hahaha! Nice catch--I used the wrong link! That is a steel string in the picture, and this is the one that Mike Doolin built: http://www.doolinguitars.com/anderson.html And that's the one that I scratched w/ my belt buckle (just kidding)... fantasticsound
Doolin's instruments are impressive. As impressive are the samples of music from his customers who've bought these instruments. It's easiest to find me on Facebook. Neil Bergman Soundclick fntstcsnd

If I scratched a guitar like that with my belt buckle, I'd go ahead and break my own neck, 'cause there's no way in hell I could pay for it

musicalhair
I saw a harp guitar sorta like that today in the Classical Guitar Store in Philadelphia. It had nylon strings but also had bridge pins. I meant to ask about it but I got caught up in sheet music. check out some comedy I've done: http://louhasspoken.tumblr.com/ My Unitarian Jihad Name: Brother Broadsword of Enlightened Compassion.
