Xp...dude. It's not too late. Put your head down, raise your knee's high, and move your arms to and fro in a swift pumping motion...and runnnnnn Forest RUN!

Just kidding...it's relatively painless, and hey, just think, you'll get to have regular sex for the rest of your life!

All kidding aside...I suppose I have to recommend it...today was my 25th anniversary.

I think that's terrific news!

If I could offer one simple peice of advice it would be this: Always be able to look quietly into eachothers' eyes and feel the passion that brought you together.

From now until the days you're both sitting in wheel chairs in the activity room of the old folks home you will be forever one.

I recommend marriage. Even after 20 years, 4 children and being asked for a divorce this summer.... I won't regret where my life has taken me, my children and the memories I'll have forever.

Passion.

It's the glue.

I still think guitars are like shoes, but louder.

Xplorer: congrats!

Shoes: if you weren't joking about the divorce: sorry.

:thu: I'm 14 days away from my 13th wedding anniversary.

A bit of advice you actually want to use... ;)

At least once an hour at the reception find your bride and take the time to look around at those you love, who love you enough to celebrate your marriage, and make a memory. Weddings go by so fast if you don't take the time to burn-in memories of the day with your wife.

It's easiest to find me on Facebook. Neil Bergman

We arn't going to have a band play. I would have liked one, but we're trying to get the job done on a budget. I wish I could get Slayer to play some soft ambient music, but they are really hard to contact.

j/k!

The crazy thing is, I'm really looking forward to this just for the time away from work! It's getting really hairy.

I'm meeting the DJ tonight. Anyone have any suggestions for music? I'm not going to have a clue what to tell him. I don't want to play crazy heavy metal all night because I don't want everyone to leave! I'm pretty much going to get the standard wedding music/top 40 crap.

What a horrible night to have a curse.

I'm glad to hear you are getting married. After all, why should you be any happier than the rest of us? :D

For music, are there old folks that r gonna be there? Then keep the base at a listenable level or you will drive them out and also include some waltz and polkas to keep them all dancing. If no old folks, then rock on.

Trust me XP...you'll be glad that you went the way of the traditional wedding dance top-40 crap when the evening is over and everybody has had a wonderful time. It'll not only create memories for you and the new Misses, but for your guests as well. It'll get more of your guests involved in the dance floor activity, which is always an excellent source for video footage.

One thing that caused quite a stir at our reception was my personal refrain from alcohol consumption (which was a stretch at the time). But my wife and I both agreed to refrain from partaking in the libations so we would better be able to remember our evening. And you know what?...we can still look back 25 years later with many clear memories of our wedding day. Including the 521 guests that consumed 22 barrels of Budweiser in 6 hours, and the entertainment THEY provided. :freak:

However, I don't seem to remember much about the honeymoon for some reason. :D

Hey LPC!...Congrats on 26!
