I haven't heard of anything like that here but it would be cool if something did exist. I'm one of those guys trying to get back into it would benefit me greatly.

 

In fact, it would be smart if companies like G.C., Gibson, Fender endorsed something like this since it's generally older farts like me who can more afford to buy their stuff.... then go out and gig with it.

I'm looking at the local "looking for musicians" forums but I get the feeling my age (42) is going to be a drawback.

 

I like the fact that with this program you have to agree to a set number of rehearsal hours a week and so on. At least it'd be fairly serious people.

There was something similar happening in NYC a few years ago, "Musicians In Suits" or something like that, in the Wall Street area. I ended up not going, but I see nothing wrong with if a guy just wants to get out there and play and blow off steam.

 

I doubt it's a "career move"!

 

BTW, 42 ain't old. I'm 53, and I don't feel like an old fuddy-duddy. But other people might not realize this!
