Sunbreak Music
That whole "no loops, no overdubs" thing makes me cringe. Who cares--is the music good or not? Reminds me of the 80's when "no synthesizers were used on this album" was bouncing around.... Hedges had it right--compose first, then play. huafist
He's pretty good, but I think Justin King is actually better at the double handed legato stuff.

Justus A. Picker
I love the tone of that thing.Very harp-like. What are the little doodads sticking up out of the fretboard? Some kind of pickups? http://www.smokedsalmonband.com/exile/exile1.jpg

Griffinator
That looks like an acoustic version of the Chapman Stick. Greg Howard does this kind of stuff - really amazing. However, for impossible finger-tapping guitar work, look no further than Stanley Jordan - he did all this on a 6-string and created spectacular melodies as well... A bunch of loud, obnoxious music I USED to make with friends.
fantasticsound
I love Stanley Jordan's first album. It has, in my opinion, the most beautiful version of Thad Jones' A Child Is Born. Absolutely carries the theme of that title into my imagination. Very powerful. Also a great version of Freddy The Freeloader. It's easiest to find me on Facebook. James-Italy
Big Red, I responded on your "Newbies" thread, but this one is more appropriate so I'm gonna copy/paste here: Thanks a ton Big Red! Don Ross is great and all, but thanks to this link I Stumbled on Erik Mongrain. WOW, Erik is fun to watch and has great melodies. I especially like and I've been watching/listening all morning. The constant rhythmic pinging of his fret hand/bass parts got on my nerves after awhile. Give me Charlie Hunter as someone with self sufficient technique, but doesn't sound like it.
