Tone Taster
Remember that KILLER TONE on Stone Temple Pilot's "Plush" That was the Demeter TGA-3 YOu like Sonny Landreth's tone (TGA-3) Anyway, I talked to Mr. Demeter today and I was concerned about the fact that he doesn't use the torroidal transformers (which really cleaned up the TGA 3's) He said that his new transformers are just as quiet I asked if the 50 W had 1/2 power like the 100 W He said that the 50 W is an absolute MAX rating and that it is more realistically @ 36 W so at 1/2 power it is 17 W Check out the sound samples, guys The clean channel has this extra "edge" gain stage which you can set how much right at the head The overdrive is very warm, crunchy and punchy http://www.demeteramps.com/products/guitaramps/

No doubt, my southeastern compadre'. I'm going to have to sell three amps to get the 2 G's together By boutique standards, 2 G's for the 50 W head is a VERY reasonable price What are your impressions of the clips of the head? I mean, that is a strat sounding pretty beefy. It could be the pickups, but I tend to thnik it is mostly the amp
Guitarzan
nice, but i have no dough for it. http://www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemusic.cfm?bandID=193274 rock it, i will
caprae
I see on their price list they have factory refurbs and demo models. Have you called to see if they do on this and how much they discount them? Was just reading one of the reviews. I'd love to hear that through a pair of 12s live. I had a lot of fun on that page, not just with the head but with some of their effects, too. Raise your children and spoil your grandchildren. Spoil your children and raise your grandchildren. Tone Taster
CORRECTION: The STP amp was a TGP2 preamp through a VHT power amp (not sure of the cabinet) Anyway, the 2-rock is sold, and it nearly paid for the Demeter 2.1 Inverter which will be here next week The 2.1 is a significant upgrade in that you can control the 3 gain stages with your foot and each stage has a "PULL" for bright and thecrunch channel has a "pull" for modern gain This is the first REAL amp I have bought BRAND NEW. I have a feeling that a good portion of the Gas Fire will be quenched !

Wow, man... the soundclips I had heard of those amps at theri website were outstanding. Sold it because of tone, or convenience (Demeter having more footswitchable control)? What's "Inverter" about it? Tone Taster
Not sure about 'inverter", but The Two Rock was just a bit on the smooth side for my tastes. I dug it, but the Demeter seems to nail the tones that are appropriate for what I need to do The Two Rocks don't really get that "in between sound" to my liking

Tone Taster
Well, Adam over at Demeter has hooked me up, big time He loaded the guts into a more slick, compact cab http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n237/yZe1/TGA_2.jpg Excellent Service, too It is on the way here, so please keep me in prayer that Fed Ex doesn't destroy it, Although it probably won't because Adam says that they overpack everything They are currently moving their factory, so pardon their dust
skipclone 1
Ya, I need an amp to complelement the great guitars I have acquired recently, Demeter was one I was considering. I`ll have to listen to those clips later. By the way, back when I had time to read Scientific American, a factoid I filed away mentally for some reason is that, for those who missed it, `torroidal` means shaped like a doughnut. Same old surprises, brand new cliches- Skipsounds on Soundclick: www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemusic.cfm?bandid=602491
Bluesape
Oh, well - in that case, I wouldn't want torroidal transformers! I'd want them croissant or pershaps danish shaped! Never a DUH! moment! Well, almost never. OK, OK! Sometimes never!
