S. Yeti Bigfoot, Esq. Posted August 11, 2006 Posted August 11, 2006 So? What's so spectacular about that? Why would it be fake? "And so I definitely, when I have a daughter, I have a lot of good advice for her." ~Paris Hilton BWAAAHAAAHAAHAAA!!!
jinnn Posted August 11, 2006 Author Posted August 11, 2006 you don't think its spectacular that someone that young can play like taht? well anyhow theres been people saying its fake so i'd thought i get some views from some experts.
A String Posted August 11, 2006 Posted August 11, 2006 There's no doubt in my mind that it's real. To be honest with you, it's nothing special. The kid is ok, but not so amazing that I question the video's validity. Either way, welcome to the forum! Craig Stringnetwork on Facebook String Network Forum My Music

Oh..OK. I thought there was something I was missing in the video ...like maybe the quick-change from bass to guitar or something like that. No, the playing is not that spectacular...it's OK...even good...but there are a gazillion kids out there that can play at that level. Their playing has improved dramatically since these videos were done.... Badass#1 Badass#3 (Audio kinda sucks on this one, but you get the picture...) Scott Fraser Posted August 12, 2006 Posted August 12, 2006 Every time I walk into a Guitar Center I hear a bunch of kids playing like that. That seems to be what kids do. Very derivative, but if he keeps at it maybe he'll develope his own voice & work on crafting a tone which is less irritatingly trendy. Scott Fraser Scott Fraser
Bytored Posted August 13, 2006 Posted August 13, 2006 Man I suck. I think all the the clips were DAMN good . mostly the badass' sasquatch posted though What can this strange device be? When I touch it, it gives forth a sound It's got wires that vibrate, and give music What can this thing be that I found?
henrysb3 Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 I heard a kid last night at the jam who was every bit as good as that one. He did an almost verbatim version of "Voodoo Child" that swept me (and the house) off my feet. He even kind of looks like the kid in the video. This guy also had a sense of proportion in his playing and didn't try to showboat or overpower the rest of the players. I hope he continues to grow beyond any plateau he encounters. He not busy being born Is busy dyin'. ...Bob Dylan
King Kamehameha Posted August 15, 2006 Posted August 15, 2006 I thought you were talking about "Pedro" for a moment, when I just saw the part about the awesome version of Voodoo Child. Then I saw the part about not overpowering the other players. Definitely not him.
