Dr. Ellwood Posted July 30, 2006 Posted July 30, 2006 The mark of a man is he has the balls to say when he's wrong ..you did and so I say welcome to the clan! We will be glad to have you aboard with us and look forward to all your posts. Don't be apprensive about posting your opinions! just be aware others will not always agree with you, but try to argue with respect, this is something I had to learn too! http://www.thestringnetwork.com

Hardtail Posted July 30, 2006 Posted July 30, 2006 Cool! Now stick around, learn a thing or two and have some fun.
Fumblyfingers Posted July 30, 2006 Posted July 30, 2006 I think many of us said have something less than sensitive at some point. I was actually not offended by your TAB post at all, but it shows good character that you said sorry about it. I myself got a little hot under the collar about Allen's post about the TAB sites and I was not too excited about the fact that I allowed someone to rile me up. My responses to him were not meant to be personal and I edited my posts a lot before posting. Anyway I hope he post's again at some point. What Ell said about arguing with respect is the truth. We can all disagree and get fired up, we are all after all creative people with fertile imaginations that can go anywhere when unleashed. At the end of the day though, it sure helps to know that those we disagree with, however intensely, are still friends and that we are all still watching each others back. I work and interact with around 30-60 people a day....some are friends...almost all would run and help if I needed it....we all try keep it on the up and up and we strive to keep a sense of humor going even if we are not in the mood.It is like a prerequisite of my work...that you fit in. Loose cannons are weeded out fast and they go poof at some point. But other than the couple of guys that play guitar, nobody there really understands me and I keep my guitar playing and my musical ambition kinda under wraps. Here at the forum I feel surrounded by people who understand my lot, 'cos we are all in the same boat.It is nice to be here. Young and old and we all have a lot to learn from each other. The day you stop learning, you may as well hang it up.
