mdrs Posted July 29, 2006 Posted July 29, 2006 In light of the upcoming Jeff Beck tour, and the other thread discussing Jeff Beck shows, I thought I'd post this video. http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m114/mdrs1/th_JeffBeckDrown.jpg His right hand is stupid good..... mdrs Posted July 29, 2006 Author Posted July 29, 2006 sorry about the other TWO THREADS! A major computer brain cramp Don Don "There once was a note, Pure and Easy. Playing so free, like a breath rippling by." http://www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemusic.cfm?bandID=574296 http://www.myspace.com/imdrs
Gifthorse Posted July 29, 2006 Posted July 29, 2006 Beck is INCREDIBLE. Thanks dude. His tone is totally in his hands. He is such an innovator. His style never becomes obsolete. He is so much more interesting than so many guys today who just play fast with tons of distortion. http://flagshipmile.dmusic.com/ http://www.myspace.com/gifthorse
Dreamer Posted July 29, 2006 Posted July 29, 2006 I think this video has been posted already in the past; anyway, it's always a pleasure to watch it. Thanks. mdrs Posted July 29, 2006 Author Posted July 29, 2006 Hey Flag....you hit the nail on the head! Er, or should I say the hands! His hands and his brain are the instrument. The guitar is just the interface! Don Don "There once was a note, Pure and Easy. Ricardo. Posted July 29, 2006 Posted July 29, 2006 I was awed by his right hand movements, but honestly, his playing didn't sound as good as I'd think it would for all the manipulation in his right hand.
Gifthorse Posted July 29, 2006 Posted July 29, 2006 I am just in awe of how much he sounds like himself. His tone is totally unique. http://flagshipmile.dmusic.com/ http://www.myspace.com/gifthorse
