fantasticsound Posted July 31, 2006 Posted July 31, 2006 The Intellifex (black face) was the first available. I bought mine in 1992 and the model was already a year or two old. I bought it for its' clear sound, but I was never a big fan of the 'verb, insofar as being a smooth, realistic verb. The chorus and delay effects were great! It doesn't do intelligent harmonization, so the best stuff we did with the harmonizer was for nasty, synthetic voices. Otherwise, it was a staple of my live guitar setup when I was in bands and on recordings. I haven't used mine in a few years because I haven't played out and I've been mixing most of my recordings in the computer. My live gigs have usually involved someone else's gear, so I haven't brought out the Intellifex because I expect to see a Yamaha, etc. f/x device in the system already, when I arrive. No need to put my own gear at risk and I like the sound of the Yami, Lexicon, etc. f/x racks that are common in rental systems on all levels of PA. Don't quote me, but I believe the Replifex came out in the mid 1990's, followed closely by the LTD, then the online in the late 1990's or early 2000's. I'm not familiar with them. It's easiest to find me on Facebook. Neil Bergman Soundclick fntstcsnd
MILLO Posted August 1, 2006 Author Posted August 1, 2006 I just got an OnLine from ebay. On Saturday night I went to see our percussionist play w/ a Soukus music band. One of their guitarists was playing an Anderson through a Rivera, w/ the Online in a rack. It sounded very good. I talked to him a bit and he told me he liked it, gave it a vote of confidence, and then the next day a bid on a used one on ebay. I hope it arrives this week. Thanks for your help. I've read some reviews and seems like it's an awesome pro piece of equipment. If I had the money and/or the need for it, I'd try one. But I have neither:D.
