Guitarzan Posted July 13, 2006 Posted July 13, 2006 well i just have recieved two guitars for a cleaning and setup plus minor repairs. a mexi strat in fiesta red..hmm and...da da tada!!! a early 80's japanese made squier strat in cream with a maple neck!!!! funny that the japanese strat has real alnico pole piece pickups and an awesome neck. the mexi is ok but wow the squier screams Ritchie with the big honking 70's style headstock. i really like it, it takes me back to my first japanese strat. i had pics but i can't find them. some of you may remember me mentioning this guitar awhile back. http://www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemusic.cfm?bandID=193274 rock it, i will
Guitarzan Posted July 14, 2006 Author Posted July 14, 2006 i will be taking the squier apart first to give it the once over, i can't wait to see its guts. the serial number dates it to 83-84. basically the squier is a 70's strat made in the 80's by the fugi-gen factory. man i love the internet http://www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemusic.cfm?bandID=193274 rock it, i will

Backnblack Posted July 14, 2006 Posted July 14, 2006 no, but i play one on TV. i just aint scared to dig out a screwdriver. i am very careful, i was curious as a young one. still am. actually with the Squier and all its 70 ish look i feel like Yngwie. i don't do frets or nuthin fancy. i just clean and reassemble and setup everything.
