Big Red 67 Posted July 13, 2006 Posted July 13, 2006 I went to a local awards show last night. The Sacramento News & Review Sammies. Meet with a local producer that agreed to produce my lastest project "Stuck on Moday". Saw two guys that I recorded at an art show that I haven't been able to get a copy to. I also heard a local jazz group that wants me to record them in a live setting. All in all a great night!!! Just goes to show that you don't need to get a award to get an award at an award show. (Yeah I know that is allot of awards for one sentence) Big Red's Ride Blog

caprae Posted July 13, 2006 Posted July 13, 2006 Congrats, Big Red. You must be MUCH better at that grip and grin stuff than I am. Raise your children and spoil your grandchildren. Spoil your children and raise your grandchildren.
Big Red 67 Posted July 14, 2006 Author Posted July 14, 2006 I was listen to a convo where a local (loooong time) was talking about going to hell. I said, I don't think there is a hell" he proceeded to sit on my lap (know kidding) and say, "So Santa Clause". It was really a great night. Big Red's Ride Blog
Big Red 67 Posted July 14, 2006 Author Posted July 14, 2006 OT: grip and grin. A guy from a foreign country was there. He suffered from alopecia (genetic hair loss). He looked really good. Took me a long time,... but I had the guts to tell him how great he looked. Aside from the language (had to revert to "you lose your hair") I told him and he was really touched! It is strange how a fault can be sooo, cool! Big Red's Ride Blog

Ricochet Posted July 14, 2006 Posted July 14, 2006 Congratulations, Red! Hey, you got that line in your sig about bassists and dating backward. Here's what I heard: What do you call a pretty girl on the arm of a bass player? A tattoo. "A cheerful heart is good medicine."
