popcritic Posted July 9, 2006 Posted July 9, 2006 My daughter Kaki appeared at the Montréal Jazz Festival yesterday, opening the show for headliner Ani DiFranco. I was quite surprised to see the Montréal paper feature Kaki's onstage photo to head the review. She is pictured with her prototype Ovation Adamas. I have absolutely no French, but my impression is that she was well-received. http://www.lapresse.com/article/20060709/CPARTS03/607090799/1017/CPARTS Finest regards to everyone-- Dave King

MILLO Posted July 9, 2006 Posted July 9, 2006 Is it me, or really big-city "jazz" festivals rarely ever really feature jazz acts headlining? Congratulations for Kaki's achievements--in no way my comment is an attack on her person, her career as a musician, or her skills as a musician. Just wondering. skipclone 1 Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 Thanks for dropping by Mr. K I almost got this mixed up with Montreaux for a second there. Anything new happening in the studio for Kaki soon?
