madgrinder7 Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 I was at a mom-and-pop music store yesterday digging through a stash of parts in a huge box. The dude with me kept pulling out all these Strat parts that were new, but yellowed and faded. I see lots of Strats with this "aged" plastic. Do they age them on purpose, or it is just inferior plastic? It's official... I'm boned.
Caevan O'Shite Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 They're to cop the look of old vintage guitars that've been faded and tinted due to the effects of sunlight, nicotine from cigarette-smoke, skin-oils, etc. Love the Samurai Jack avatar! _______________________ http://www.npr.org/programs/day/features/2004/sep/samurai_jack/main.jpg Ask yourself- What Would Ren and Stimpy Do? ~ Caevan James-Michael Miller-O'Shite ~ _ ___ _ Leprechaun, Esquire _ ___ _
