My strings are really stringy.

I can move one to any other string.. I notice on my learning dvd that guys strings seem tighter.. like when he plucks them, they barely move anywhere.. mine can go far enough to even hit other strings.

or maybe I just play horribly.

Three things I can think of:

1. String gauge: the heavier the gauge, the tighter the strings

2. Length of neck: Longer like Fender or shorter like Les Paul

3. Brand of string: even at the same gauge some brands have less give than other brands.

Stringy strings? :freak:

Oh, Cen, my man, you are really opening up yourself to a barrage of fun from the sense of humor some of us have, but I'll leave that to others as you are relatively new here.

Tell us about your tuning techniques. Are you using an electronic tuner or by ear? Help you we shall Obe Won.

Yes, what bass are you using and what strings?

Always remember that you are unique. Just like everyone else.

Whoa, I just realized I posted in the wrong forum.. I meant to do Bass.

Anyways, im using the strings that came with it.

I could touch one string on one side to the last string on the other side.. yet its still in tune.. and the correct octave. Is this an issue with trus rod or action?
