OT: my son, a chip off the old block

So it's pouring rain in DC last week. My goofy son is out there and proceeds to try to drive through a flooded underpass.

Lucky for him, it only cost him $800 in engine repairs and no loss of life.

What a knucklehead.

Then he called me for money!!

So, ok, yes, I agreed to help him out but only as a loan. :rolleyes:

my grandmother always said;

Grandma was wise.......the loan sounds like a smart move, RobBob...personal responsibility is important. I'm glad he wasn't hurt. And, I bet he learned his lession!

My twins have their learner's permits, but haven't shown a lot of interest in getting out and practising driving. I couldn't wait to get my license. But then it didn't cost me a grand in insurance, either.

I've already accused him of trying to use his car as a speedboat. :D
