Zephyr Posted July 1, 2006 Posted July 1, 2006 Does anyone know if there are any pick-ups on the market (preferrably Gibson)that would make mine sound like a '64 version? Never argue with an idiot. They'll bring you down to their level and beat you with experience. http://www.soundclick.com/bands/default.cfm?bandID=810593 http://www.myspace.com/dandelavega

Guitarzan Posted July 1, 2006 Posted July 1, 2006 not knowing the specifics of each years pickups. i would say Gibson burstbuckers would be a good choice. seymour duncan '59 or seth lovers. main thing is get a PAF style pickup that has a blanced output. stay away from pumped up overwound pickups. http://www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemusic.cfm?bandID=193274 rock it, i will

I know a guy with the same setup (sg) and he uses these with it and gets a nice '64 type sound out of it, though the sound is really a judgement call. Hope u find what ur looking for.
