That's a nice one, Lee. I have one of those, too. I also have the '57 Fender Mini Twin and the Marshall MS-4 Micro Stack.

I like the sound of the Fender mini amps better than the Marshall. The Marshall sounds a bit more tinny than the Fenders.

They actually sound good. And, Ginger Baker, and Eric Clapton had them ON STAGE during their Madison Square Garden Cream reunion shows. TRUTH.

There you go!!

The mini Danelectro honeytone, it sounds great and is amazingly loud. Mine crapped out and I was going to get another but instead got something called the Tino, in a natural wood cab. It also sounds nice but the damn power switch fell right off-freakin ridiculous. Cost no object, by far I would prefer one of these:

The amp section on this is okay. But it's a shadow of the Lead 12. The cabinet construction is MDF and is not real wood. The speakers are made in China and do not sound as good as the speakers in the Lead 12 (or Lead 15 for that matter).

I'd go on eBay and find a Lead 12 Mini Stack and buy that. You won't regret it. The Celestion G10D-25 16 ohm speakers are getting a bit hard to find but you can always replace them with Celestion G10 Vintage speakers which sound better anyway.

I have two Lead 12 mini stacks and had one of these MG15MSII stacks for a couple of months. The tone of the Lead 12 is, IMHO, much better.

(No, I'm not on commission and I don't own one, but the thought sure is cool.)

You do know Boggs is a regular contributor here, right caprae?

I've been meaning to build one of these little 1/2 watt amps myself. I have a Lemonheads mini lunchbox that should be perfect size for the necessary jacks and electronics, plus the latch will allow easy access if it ever needs service. :D

It's easiest to find me on Facebook. Neil Bergman

That's how I knew about them. I just couldn't remember his posting name, though. I'm bad about that kind of thing.
