Hairfarmer
Anybody else using this switch with any longevity? I've only had mine two weeks. It does what I wanted and expected, except for the low impedence hum through my tube amp. I'll deal with that. I guess I'm more concerned about "working environment durability" issues, and if I should be concenred about keeping a spare for gigging. I bought it in lieu of the VooDoo Labs 4-Way which I've heard is a far superior piece, componentry wise, but it also costs twice as much, and is excessive in function for my needs. Anybody? mdrs
Oh man.......WATCH OUT!! I have had to have mine repaired twice. And, I never play out with it. It's only used in my home. And, I treat my stuff very well. The second time it up and died, I sent it back to the factory. They were very nice, but said it quit working because I must have plugged in the wrong AC adapter to it!! Well, it worked for about a month after I got it back from the factory. I religously ONLY used the morley adapter, and it died again!! I've thrown it in the garbage. And, so far, I love my VooDoo labs four way switcher. I should have gotten it first!! I wonder how the Framptone one is??? Good luck. Don Don "There once was a note, Pure and Easy. Hairfarmer
Thanks, Don,...thats a bummer...I was hoping this would be a quality piece of equipment since Goerge Lynch let Morley put his name on it. Based on what you're saying, I should definitely carry a reserve with me for gigging. I guess we'll see how they hold up in my camp for a few weeks. I'm getting them for $50 new (b-stock), so I can own two for half the price of the Voodoo, for now anyway. I get the feeling I'll be making a change in the future. What's the Frampton model called, and who's making it? Kerry

mdrs
Framptone Amp Switcher; http://www.framptone.com/ I think that they are pricy. I have not yet seen, nor tried one out. My first amp swither was the Morley ABY. I've had two of them for at least five years, and I agree, Warthog, they work great and seem indestructable!! Kind of like a A-10, eh?? mdrs
Hey Hair....one more thing. When my Tripler died (each of the THREE times), it gave no warning. Suddenly, nothing got from my guitar to my amps. It died cold turkey. If you are only using two amps in your set up, I'd agree with Warthog...try the Morley ABY http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Morley-ABY-Channel-Switcher?sku=150757 Don "There once was a note, Pure and Easy. Dr. Ellwood
This one http://www.samedaymusic.com/product--DOD270 has been on my peddle board for 6 years now and is used constantly, never fails and it built like a tank! This thing must have thousands of cicles on it by now! To answer your question..yeah It's a road dog for sure! http://www.thestringnetwork.com
Hairfarmer
Apparently I should have posted here before making the Tripler my choice. I'll learn. I can't say I made a bad choice as of yet, but after checking out some of the info you guys have provided, it's clear now that I had more options than I realized, although, I was bent on three switch capability to allow me to accomodate a MESA that I hope to purchase soon, so A/B's were not a consideration during my inital search. The DOD270 looks like a VERY sensible choice for pure A/B only switching though, especially at $38.00?...WOW!...you'de be STEALING IT! The Frampton 3-Banger appears to have addressed everything the others are struggling with, but dang, $400...YIKES! I may have to eat it and give the $200 Voodoo Labs 4-way a shot if I start wearing out Triplers. My limit will be two. Thanks everybody for your input. Much love. VeloDoug
I have 2 of the DOD AB boxes from the '80's and neither has worked... ever. Very noisy boxes. I gave up on them soon after purchasing them. They may have improved since, but haven't had luck with the quailty of either DOD or Digitech equipment and haven't considered buying any of their products for years. I have since got the Radial ABY (picked it up at Gelb music for $59) and it has worked great so far. My one complaint is that it would be nice to have an LED to let you know whether it is A, B or Y.
