Tone Taster
Gilmour is certainly a treat to listen to, but he has been playing the same licks since 1979 just like Santana's been doing the same since 1977. It's like these guys are in a musical cryonics program or something

I forced myself to listen 1 1/2 times and then took the disc to the used CD store. This current disc put me to sleep. His first two solo albums are superior. Gifthorse
Yeah but Gilmour has cool songs. I think his playing is secondary to the atmosphere he creates. That is what I like about him. Plus he always has a cool tone. http://flagshipmile.dmusic.com/ http://www.myspace.com/gifthorse

But the best gig I have ever seen was Gilmour at the Festival hall playing acoustically with Richard wright on keys and Bob geldoff made an apperance, but Gilmours playing was truly stunning, his singing was a little dodgy at points but what a player Love life, some twists and turns are more painful than others, but love life..... http://www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemusic.cfm?bandID=592101

mdrs
The new Gilmour solo album is incredible. It may be the most melancholy, laid back, yet kick butt powerful guitar music ever. Gilmour will never fail you......the british caucasion version of Robert Johnson Don "There once was a note, Pure and Easy.
