The synth itself sounds good IMO, they should make expanders with CV/Gate and MIDI only.

No keys, no PB and Mod pads etc..

OTOH, the original (white) ARP Odyssey had a horrible action also, stinkin´ rotary pod for pitchbend and an annoying plastic case in addition.

When I layed a friend´s one for the 1st time, I alreadyhated it because of these "features" and didn´t buy.

That's right, I have the same experience as you, the smell of plastic is really unpleasant.
