    CORRECTION - Your do NOT have to turn down track volumes when using external gear. You simply TURN OFF the synth oscillators. You can also switch tracks to external if you want to use the volume sliders, EQ, and the 707's effects for one of your external synths. How is the Keystep Pro working with the mc707? Im using both myself because the MC707 is yet to have a probability-per-note and quantized scale random note ability (could also use a random octave). I find the Keystep great for creative process and then I sequence the sequence onto the MC707
