  1. Thoroughly enjoy these threads that are really about who is your personal favorite that you can find a way to justify as such so I will say John Paul Jones 😊
  2. I have found it to be easier to handle than I thought it would be given its shape and perhaps a little too sturdy and enjoyable to play as evidenced by the following. Also perhaps a cautionary tale of what can happen when you let a piano teacher stand while performing 🤪
  3. My suggestion FWIW would be to consider using in ear monitoring (IEM’s). Advantages are numerous and the most important being protecting your hearing given you are in a loud Roc and Rol band like me. I made the switch and although it took a bit to get use to it it my hearing and back always thank me the next day🙂
  4. My first thought after reading your post was that the Cp 4 you played most be as banged up/used /rough condition as my 10+ year CP 4. Regardless of wether it’s that or perhaps you have discovered that you prefer a lighter action due to being more of an organ player or perhaps age (as in my case) no need to beat yourself up over it. My suggestion FWIW is to use a keyboard that works for you rather than try to train yourself to play on something that’s not your thing. All the best with it ...
  5. Maybe check out the Korg forums for help with this. Good luck with it ... http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/viewforum.php?f=53&sid=4577907bde3a182a28e260c3ffd207e2
  6. Looks great. A cheap wall covering that I have gotten a lot of positive responses over the years is using CD cases …
  7. Here are couple of videos you might find useful. Shout out to the Maltese Falcon and Ragtime 😆
  8. Very nice. Here is a little dessert for after the main course ...
  9. l covered the logo on my GP 310 with my name plate mostly because it was to prominent on the screen for online lessons but also because of the stigma. For the record Casios Rock …😊
  10. I believe the M audio 88 was mentioned but the Pro model is newer and has graded keys. Might be worth a look. All the best with it ...
  11. In my opinion you won’t be able to find a better option than a used or new Yamaha p515 in terms of having a suitable action at the most affordable price and weight for your student as a recommendation. At least that has been my experience in the Ontario Canada area. All the best for you and your students success ...
  12. Love the set up and sound of this live rig and decided to share. Especially the Yamaha C7. It reminds me of the one I was fortunate enough to spend some time on at Metalworks Studio in Mississauga a few years back. (Shout out to all Triumph fans) My only complaint is that he should have played it longer at the end 🙂 Apologies if this has been posted already in another Keyboard rig thread ...
  13. Bonus content in case you missed this one .... 🙂
  14. Here is one my favs that has passed away but I think qualifies for someone you may know from the HAIR musical but unaware of in terms of his piano playing ...
