  1. Re 6511 I wouldn't doubt it! This one holds way to many memories. Tangible link to when there were unlimited possibilities etc etc
  2. Sometimes the internet amazes me. They're in the process of scanning in Polyphony back issues. I had to manually edit the URL to get this one or else I missed it in the menu. https://www.muzines.co.uk/images_mag/pdf/pl/pl_84_04.pdf Anyway short version is in 1988 I got sucked into making this project which was a MIDI keyboard controller. So first I called down to the Rockwell brick and mortar that was in Atlanta where I lived at the time (1988). He said come on down. I got there and the guy came right out, didn't want me to come in but he handed me a jewel case with two virgin 6511's pressed into antistatic foam. I only asked for one and was prepared to pay $. That made a big impression on me that day, that someone would do that. So I said to myself I have two so maybe I ought to get parts for two projects. So I got two circuit boards and two proms with the software loaded from Kirk (I assume). I did eventually get one working all the way. The twist to this story is 35 years later I still have the other 6511 and the other prom in the Rockwell jewel case and the second circuit board.
