  1. Hi all Got my new Bose L8 and new Studiologic 73 numa piano keyboard. Awesome, but....the eq options on both the Bose L8 and the Studiologic are very limited to treble, mid and bass. This doesn't cut if for a nuanced digital piano sound. I tried my husband's Ge7 EQ guitar effect pedal, and although it is meant for guitar, I could hear a tone of difference and overall improvement. As I don't want to pinch his EQ pedal and I think a few more bands may be beneficial, I'm considering a 10 band eq pedal option like the MXR 10 band or the cheaper Caline pedal that is just like the MXR (version 3 with the hiss fixed). I'm interested in pedals that offer 2 outputs for Left and right options for monitors should I need to go that rout. The Source pedal looks awesome but too expensive and the Boss 200 awesome but again too expensive and takes up too much room. I'm wondering if anyone knows of any portable eq options that offer more bands than 10 that are still very compact? Everything higher than 10 bands seems to be dual 15 bands or 31 bands and full rack mount, which I think is just too big. I'm trying to keep things pretty small for gigging. I need to keep the price under $250 AU max. Thanks for any ideas. Also, if you know of any 10 band eq pedals that can run off batteries, please let me know. The best I can find is an Artec pedal that has 8 frequencies and runs off batteries.
  2. Thank you, your input on mapping midi has made a lot of sense. What about buttons? Do the buttons also send midi messages that can be mapped? and are you happy with your decision to go with the Numa x?
  3. Can anyone confirm they have successfully mapped the Numa X piano buttons and knobs to perform MIDI functions in Logic? I'm hoping to be able to map the encoders to track volume and some buttons to transport functions, among other things.
  4. I am in Australia. A few years back I successfully ordered a Studiologic SL 73 from overseas. You can buy from this store with Paypal so if anything goes wrong you're covered. https://www.musicstore.com/en_OT/EUR/Studiologic-Numa-X-Piano-73/art-KEY0005523-000 Just make sure you ask for one shipped with an Australian power lead. My turned up within 2 weeks and was perfect. I didn't have to worry about what country's lead it shipped with because the SL ran off USB which is universal. Having said all this, I contacted the supplier as I'm waiting on receiving mine and they said the product is due to dock at Australian shores week 1 or 2 of August. It takes a few days to clear customs and a few more to reach their warehouse facility, so all up we should be seeing them in our stores in the last 2 weeks of August.
  5. Hi All Just searching online for best portable pa. I'm a keyboard and acoustic guitar player and singer and was wondering if anyone has had experience with the Maui 5 Go and how it sounds with acoustic piano/keyboard sounds? I'm currently just using a Bose S1 which obviously has no sub. It sounds pretty good but I'm thinking maybe with the LD systems sub I could maybe get a more comprehensive, better sound? Thanks
  6. Thanks to both of you for your feedback. Have you managed to apply buttons to MIDI functions such as play/ stop/ rec? Have you tried mapping the main dial to the playhead in your DAW?
  7. Hello. Just wondering if you have successfully mapped Studiologic Numa X Piano encoders / buttons to your DAW? I contacted Studiologic and they said enabling the Numa X Piano as a DAW controller is something they would consider for a future update. In the meantime, I'm wondering if this keyboard's encoders / buttons could be be mapped to Logic using MIDI learn? I know I can use something like a Korg nanokontrol for the meantime, but it would be good to not need this extra bit of gear to add, and avoid buying in the first place.
